My Friend Gordon.
My Friend Gordon was developed as a primary prevention and educational resource for children up to 8 years of age in Logan, Queensland. The aim of the book is to provide an age-appropriate resource for young people in Logan that introduces concepts about healthy relationships in an age-appropriate engaging way.

Story written by local children’s author, Tess Rowley.
Visual design is inclusive and representative of the demographics of Logan.

Initial key outcomes
Over 242 copies sold, generating over $4k.
A successful grant application totalling $10k.
Over 500 young people across Logan and beyond have received the resource free of charge.
Organisational staff using to support educational work within the therapeutic space.
Project expansion included:
school-based workshop development and delivery in 2021.

Children influence others to bring about positive behavioural change.

A decrease in DFV offending or re-offending

Contribution to social change, prevention of violence and change of trajectory for participants who are at higher risk of using violence and/or experiencing violence.
