Safety promotion in the aviation industry is integral to equipping professionals with the knowledge and tools to identify and mitigate risks. These efforts align with Airservices Australia’s mission to ensure the safety of air travel by delivering critical services such as Air Traffic Control and Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting. My work has focused on synthesising complex safety concepts into accessible, engaging resources that empower pilots to understand emerging risks and adopt best practices, ultimately fostering a culture of safety.

Below is a selection of pilot-education resources I developed as part of my leadership of the external air traffic management safety promotion program at Airservices Australia. Since March 2022, I have revitalised and expanded the program, taking it from its foundational stages to a phase of sustained growth.

Key achievements include:

  • Program Design and Implementation: Establishing a structured, strategic framework to ensure clarity of purpose and alignment with organisational safety goals.

  • Co-Design Product Development: Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including subject matter experts and industry representatives, to create resources tailored to varied user needs.

  • Digital Trends Integration: Leveraging insights from digital consumer behaviour to maximise the reach, engagement, and effectiveness of safety materials.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building: Cultivating strong partnerships across the aviation sector, fostering collaboration, and incorporating feedback to refine resources.

The projects below are a sample of some of the primary prevention and community education initiatives I led and contributed to at The Centre for Women & Co. I led the marketing, communications and engagement space from 2019 to 2022, contributing to the development of CFW’s reputation for professional, evidence-based and person-centred services.

The organisation provides support to families affected by domestic and family violence and works closely with other community support services including GPs, Queensland Health, Queensland Police Service and local government. In line with current contemporary models, services provided include crisis response, counselling and education. Education is a key element of their theory of change.

Below is a gallery of examples of work I have developed for both stand-alone scenarios as well as integrated marketing communications for projects and programs. Target audience is central to the visual design, tone and level of information I provide. Effective supporting digital content is provided with navigation pathways to support calls to action.
